Matt Parkison is originally from Muncie, Indiana and has lived in Indianapolis for the past several years. He has been an avid aquarist and musician for 25 years and has pursued both of these interests professionally for the majority of that time. He attended Butler University, where he received a Bachelor of Music Performance for guitar. He taught private music lessons and performed professionally for over 10 years before he began working at Aquatic Arts in 2015. He is currently buyer, product developer, and content writer for Aquatic Arts. Matt has a wide variety of interests in the aquarium hobby, but among his favorites are Loricariids, ancient fish, large predators, venomous fish, and cartilaginous fish such as sharks and stringrays. He is also particularly interested in many herptiles, especially turtles and other aquatic species. In his free time, Matt enjoys going to concerts, traveling, playing music, reading, and socializing. Matt will be joined by his coworkers from Aquatic Arts, Bill Cordell and Preston Sipe.
